You will also get links to free software or tools you may need to complete your course.

It is estimated that a student may take anywhere from 6 to 18 months to complete the Certificate III, working approximately 10 hours per week, depending on their existing skills, knowledge, and the amount of time they dedicate to the course. Students who have prior IT qualifications or industry experience may be able to finish the course in a shorter timeframe.   • Completion of a Certificate III in Information Technology, or equivalent IT electives during high school, or have demonstrable strong IT skills or relevant industry experience.

ICT40120 Certificate IV in Information Technology – Eligibility and Fees

The ICT40120 Certificate IV in Information Technology, is available fee-free for eligible individuals. Training in priority qualifications is fee-free and fully funded by the NSW and Commonwealth governments.

The following individuals are eligible for Fee-Free Training:

  1. Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander persons.
  2. Persons with a disability (either on Disability Support Pension or with documented evidence of disability and additional support needs).
  3. Dependents of a person on a Disability Support Pension (proof of dependency required).
  4. Fee-Free Scholarship-eligible students undertaking a qualification up to and including Certificate IV.
  5. Concession-eligible individuals aged between 15 to 30 years (Commonwealth Government Benefit recipients with current documentation).
  6. Persons aged between 15 to 30 years who are or were in Out of Home Care.

The ICT40120 Certificate IV in Information Technology, is available fee-free for eligible individuals. Training in priority qualifications is fee-free and fully funded by the NSW and Commonwealth governments.
