INDUSTRY-LED TRAINING
Goanna Education offers a variety of non-accredited courses across a number of disciplines relating to technology. Courses are created in conjunction with industry leaders and designed to produce job-ready candidates with contemporary tech skills.
In December, 2020 Goanna Education was one of just three organisations nationally to be awarded funding by the Digital Skills Organisation to train 50 Mature Aged and Indigenous Data Analysts. The Digital Skills Organisation is an Initiative by the Australian Government’s Department of Education, Skills, and Employment. To this end, Goanna Education is heavily investing in an industry-led curriculum, and research to continuously develop and improve intensive reskilling and upskilling training.
In 2019 Goanna Solutions launched the AWS re/Start program in Australia via our not-for-profit arm ‘The Yapang Initiative’ and this provided the launchpad for the creation of Goanna Education.
bespoke TECHNICAL TRAINING
The Goanna team has worked with both large and small organisations to design Training and Development programs for specific cohorts in order to develop a tailored pipeline of tech talent. Our area of expertise is developing Junior/Redeployment/Career-Changer/Upskiller talent.
Examples include:
– A blend of accredited and non-accredited training which incorporates select industry certifications (e.g. AWS Cloud Practitioner Certificate) into vocational full or part qualifications (e.g. Certificate III or IV in Information Technology), and running these programs in an intensive 3-6 month format.
– Non-accredited training Bootcamps in Web Development, Cloud and Data Analytics, which includes embedding specific frameworks and systems used by our industry employment partners directly into the program.
-Other intensive but specifically designed programs in areas that link directly to technology e.g. Project Management.
ACCREDITED TRAINING
Goanna Education has collaborated with the Australian Computer Society to facilitate accredited training programs. This partnership allows students the opportunity to earn ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology through the ACS. Students develop technical and professional skills whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
Goanna Education has become a Registered Training Organisation and is seeking to bring the Goanna Education approach to education to the accredited training space.
Goanna Education will employ our educational thought-leading philosophy on nationally recognised training qualifications. Students will have the opportunity to complete programs in an intensive bootcamp style delivery mode; learning current, up to date technologies with the ability to enter the the tech industry whilst these technology are still relevant.
Some of these programs include specialisations in Programming, Cloud and Web Development as well as other IT areas of demand based on industry consultation.
